Internet of Things

The Internet of Things is a network of interconnected devices, that can gather and transmit information; and interact with the users of this devices or with other devices or servers.

The Internet of Things can have a big impact on how we interact with a lot of things, but also on how we interact with the providers and the government.

Some devices than can be a part of the Internet of Things are:

• Smartphones
• Cars, buses, trucks
• Air conditioning systems
• Refrigerators and cooking devices
• Smart TVs
• Alarm clocks and smartwatches
• Lighting systems
• Traffic lights

The development of the Internet of Things is complemented by the development of the Artificial Intelligence and the Cloud Processing.

Artificial Intelligence will allow some devices to learn by interacting with the environment and take decisions taking this learning into account.

Cloud Processing will allow the devices to delegate task to a cloud of servers that is interconnected through internet.

An example of the Internet of Things can be an autonomous car can exchange information with a transit server to find the best route, it can communicate with traffic lights, it can communicate with an air conditioning system to turn it on before arrival.
